After site visit has been completed, we schedule a time to deliver the Kitchen-Kube. We will park the trailer, level, and secure it.
We will then connect the utilities. We will need two 110v plugs on separate breakers, and a hose bib. We have a waste water tank that you will need to periodically empty as needed. This is a simple task that we will instruct you on.
-
We need a 10’x20’ clear free area for the trailer to be parked. This allows for free access to all sides. The parking spot needs to be fairly level and close to the house for easy transportation of food if eating in your dining room.
-
Quite possibly. Our concerns with a field is the rainy season in Oregon. This could lead to excessive mud in the trailer and possible make the trailer unstable if the ground below is over saturated with water.
-
As long as you need it providing the schedule is open to do.
-
Call us as soon as you know or suspect that delays are possible. If our schedule is open, then we can easily extend the service. We are open to options, but contacting us early in the process allows for the most options to be provided.

All of our Kitchen-Kubes come with a full size fridge, stove top/oven, dishwasher, microwave, water heater, and room heater.
We also provide some minimal cleaning supplies meant for the final cleaning before you return the Kitchen-Kube to us.
You will need to provide your own pots, pans, cutlery, utensils, paper products, appliances, food, spices, etc.
-
It is great for 1-2 cooks and potentially a few people eating at the bar.
-
The Kitchen-Kube comes empty with the exception of a few cleaning supplies. You will use all of your own pots, pans, utensils, plates, glasses, food, etc.
-
Quite possibly as this is a fairly new concept in the United States of America. Our initial research showed that many insurance adjusters were very favorable to this idea and saw it as a definite cost saver as opposed to staying in hotels and eating out each meal.
It is best to speak with your insurance agent and adjuster for coverage possibilities.

Not at this time we do not. As this is a fairly new concept in the United States of America, most insurance companies are currently likely to reimburse you as an “added living expense”.
You will need to pre-pay for your Kitchen-Kube rental and seek reimbursement from your insurance carrier. We can provide you with invoices and other required documentation as needed.

It is important to understand that any and all of the waste water created in the Kitchen-Kube is classified as “grey water” - meaning there are no human waste items in it. It is only dishwater.
That said, the city of Eugene has a separate system of sewer collection pipes from the storm drain pipes. The storm drain pipes collect the rain fall from the streets and discharge the water into the local rivers. For this reason, grey water can not be discharged into the storm drain system. While the gray water is safe from the Kitchen-Kube, it is against policy.
We provide a collection tank that holds all of the grey water produced by the Kitchen-Kube. Periodically, as the tank gets full, you will need to empty it using the supplied hose and electric pump. Simply turn the pump on, place the end of the hose into a sink, shower, or tub drain and open the hose end. The pump will drain the tank in just a couple of minutes. Very clean, simple, and fast.
